Connect | A Ministry for Pastors
and Churches
Healthy growing churches are often the exception, not the rule. As a result, many people today are leaving churches and not returning. While most churches are busy with providing lots of activities for their members, few are truly effective at ministering in a way that results in personal health and numerical growth. Yet it is possible for churches to experience both health and growth.
Gateway's Connect Ministry exists to come alongside churches and work with their leadership teams to help shape their ministries and develop the structures necessary for implementing their goals and visions. While we recognize that church health is more important than numerical growth, we also believe that if churches are truly healthy, numerical growth will be a natural result.
But in order for a church to be healthy, its leaders must first be healthy. The goal of a healthy church isn't to fill a church building with people; the goal of a healthy church is to fill people with God. In other words, when filling people with God is a church's primary focus, then both health and numerical growth will naturally occur.
Two of the primary ways we serve other churches and ministries is through our quarterly Connect Pastors Training Seminars and our annual Connect Pastors Conference. The Pastors Training Seminars equip and train pastors and ministry leaders to more effectively minister to the people in their churches and communities. Our Pastors Conference allows pastors to get away from the hectic pace of day-to-day ministry, regain their creative edge and rekindle their passion and vision for ministry while being refreshed and inspired to lead and guide their churches.
By building relationships and working together with pastors and ministry leaders, we believe that we can reach our communities and our world for Christ.
